What is Embossed Plastic Mulch?

Embossed plastic has visible diamond patterns on the surface, which give the plastic a wrinkled appearance. This mulch is generally more resistant to damage due to punctures, wind fatigue and cracking than non-embossed mulches. The 'diamonds' are extra protection and make the plastic stronger.

The most common agricultural mulches include black, white and white on black, which may be used with either side facing upward, depending on the specific need. White mulch is used where soil cooling is desired, such as establishing fall crops during the heat of summer. Black mulch is generally going to attract more sunlight which will raise ground temperature below.

White/black color mulch—Best for Hemp growers!

The black layer stops weed growth under the plastic.

  • Great for late tomatoes and peppers. The white side prevents tender plants from burning in the sun during late plantings (Mid to late Summer).
  • You may flip the plastic and use the black side on top.
  • 16 Rolls per pallet.
  • 1.25 mil is also available

Organix Solutions A.G. Film

Organix A.G. FilmTM is a high-performing soil biodegradable mulch film. Its 100% soil biodegradability eliminates the excess time, labor, pollution, and landfill fees associated with plastic mulch removal. Organix A.G. Film services fields across North and Central America, and provides all of the necessary benefits of standard mulch: increased yield, reduced weed, disease and insect pressure, enhanced moisture control, and increased soil temperatures.

Organix A.G. Film is proudly TUV-Certified for soil biodegradability globally, demonstrating that it will completely biodegrade without leaving any harmful residue. After harvest, Organix A.G. Film can be safely plowed into the soil for complete biodegradation. Existing micro-organisms in the soil digest it into organic content: biomass, water, and CO2. This means no harmful remnants or plastic residue is left behind, quicker field access and turnaround, and nutrient-dense topsoil remains in the field. Organix A.G. Film is easy to perforate and has good stretch properties, making it compatible with conventional mulch layers and irrigation equipment.

Available in BLACK, WHITE/BLACK, or TRANSPARENT, from 36” up to 60” widths with customized thicknesses determined with each grower for a variety of crops and regions. Organix A.G. Film is ideal for a range of climate conditions, a variety of crops, and production cycles.
